𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: Nestled in the stunning landscape of Boston Bay, Peter Teakle Wines is a testament to innovative architectural design inspired by the natural form of a wine barrel. This iconic cellar door not only serves as a functional space but as an artistic expression of its environment, marrying practicality with the aesthetic.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀: The structure is notably clad in UniCote® LUX Ashwood, which provides a realistic timber texture and appearance, enriching the building's connection to its wine-producing roots. This choice reflects a deep commitment to sustainability by minimising reliance on actual timber, thus reducing the environmental impact associated with deforestation. The Ashwood finish is part of UniCote LUX's diverse range of 12 textures, which include looks akin to weathered iron, zinc, and stone—each selected to enhance the project's design while offering superior performance and lower maintenance.

𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: The architectural strategy behind Peter Teakle Wines included the creation of a curved roof to mimic wine barrels, achieved through an innovative construction that uses UniCote® LUX Ashwood for its external cladding. This material was chosen for its environmental benefits, ease of maintenance, and its ability to seamlessly integrate into the natural surroundings, providing an effective barrier against weathering and ageing.

𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱-𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻: Peter Teakle Wines' exceptional integration of form and function has earned it significant accolades, including the prestigious Best Building Excellence Award in the $2 to $5 million category at the Master Builders SA Awards. Additionally, the project was honoured as the 2022 Winner at the Building Designers Awards for industrial buildings by BDAA.
