𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄
In the heart of Bairnsdale, East Gippsland, the Centre for Combined Health stands as a landmark in regional healthcare design and delivery. Completed in 2022, this 706 m² facility by Sarah Lake Architects was conceived to meet the evolving health needs of Victoria’s regional communities. Clad in UniCote® Select, Hamptons White, the centre merges durability with a fresh, modern aesthetic while paying homage to its industrial surroundings.

𝗔 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
This privately funded initiative was born from the need to restore and strengthen a community impacted by drought, bushfires, COVID-19, and industrial decline. Designed as more than just a medical hub, the Centre is a space for education, connection, and collaboration—addressing both physical and mental well-being with a holistic, regionally focused approach.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴
The building’s form and finishes respect the industrial character of its surroundings, with its corrugated metal exterior in Hamptons White offering a refined, light-reflective finish. Inside, two multipurpose spaces accommodate yoga, pilates, workshops, and lectures, while 12 consulting suites host a variety of health practitioners. Courtyards and a north-facing screened façade enhance privacy, natural light, and ventilation, creating a balance between openness and discretion.
